RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 72 - Lilly & Jack
Unfortunately Jack has been returned to the RSPCA as he wasn’t getting on with a child that was visiting regularly. Jack is a fantastic little dog with lots of energy and love, he’s a typical terrier so probably shouldn’t be homed with younger children or other dogs. He loves to play fetch and comes and drops his toy straight at your feet ready for you to throw it again. He’s obedient and knows all the basic commands, he loves a fuss and a treat too!
Lilly unfortunately still hasn’t found her forever home, she’s a bit of a handful with her puppy-like attitude to life, but this makes her who she is and makes her adorable and laugh a minute. She likes other dogs and absolutely loves to play, She really needs someone who can spend a lot of time with her and keep her entertained, she’s very intelligent and would love to do agility or fly-ball, she knows basic commands and does listen very well so will be easy to train is you can get her to sit still for more than 2 seconds! :)
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 71 - Bryn
Bryn is a lovely Lurcher cross with a beautiful personality.
He loves people and other dogs, he was only muzzled because he is said to be aggressive with cats. He was very well behaved on his walk and walks lovely on the lead, he knows all the basic commands, waits patiently at roads and will happily give you his paw for a biscuit. He loves a good cuddle and a kiss and likes to socialise with other dogs who he seems very nice and gentle with. He does have quite a high chase instinct which is one of the reasons we think he doesn’t get on well with cats but this is to be expected with his breed and can probably be curbed with training.
He was a pleasure to walk and we know he’ll be a loving, fun, well behaved pet.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 70 - Ghost
Ghost is a lovely young Husky with a beautiful white coat and pink nose. She’s a typical Husky who likes to do her own thing and ignore you if you don’t have any treats. She does have a beautiful temperament though and gets on well with people and other dogs, she does now basic commands but needs some further training to build a strong bond to make sure she’ll listen all the time and not just when she wants to. She was no trouble to walk and we’re sure she’ll find a new home very soon, she certainly is a head turner!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 69 - Shelby, Max & Jack
Max has come a long way since he first came into the centre a few months ago. He’s still a little nervous around strangers but after a few biscuits and lots of love and cuddles he’s putty in your hands. He’s a very sweet and loving dog who just needs that love and support to get him through his anxieties caused by ignorant humans. He’s so gentle and sweet and he’s always eager to please, he walks beautifully on the lead and plays very nicely!
Jack is new at the centre but was transferred from Coventry RSPCA. He’s a very nice dog who’s very obedient (most of the time!) and knows his name and all the basic commands. He seems friendly with other dogs but probably still needs some further socialisation so meeting other dogs becomes just normal for him, he seems to not pay much attention to any people walking past and focuses his attention more on you. He just have a cheeky naughty streak but this is quite endearing and not harmful.
Shelby is STILL at the centre, we still can’t understand why everyone just walks past her, she’s amazing! She’s always happy, always playful, always wanting to be your friend. She needs some training just to get her used to basic commands and get her focused on listening to you but she has so much potential and you’d always be smiling and laughing with her silly antics!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 68 - Cindy
Cindy is a wonderful 6 month old Malamute. She has a beautiful personality and is always ready for a cuddle or play time. She’s not had much training but she’s a very quick learner and is unusually attentive for her breed. She loves other dogs and is currently best friends with German Shepherd inmate Kyra, they love to run around and play in the compound together. Cindy has some growing to do so will be a big dog so would need an experienced owner but she has a loving and gentle personality shining through.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 67 - Bison & Lizzie
Bison is a big boss of a staffy who’s soft and cuddly inside. He’s everyone’s friend, people and dogs and he’s well behaved in different situations. He absolutely loves a cuddle and likes to play and be with you. He’s got to have an operation on his legs which keep popping out of place but apart from that he’s a happy and healthy dog with lots of love to give.
Lizzie is a big girl, she’s a German Shepherd Rottweiler mix. She’s had little training and doesn’t really pay attention when you’re asking her to do something. She likes to play and has a nice nature so with a little training and an owner she can love and focus on she’ll be a lovely dog.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 66 - Tigger & Lilly
Tigger is still at the centre, she is such a wonderful and fun dog. She does have some aggression issues with other dogs and she gets very upset around them. However, she absolutely loves people, she loves a cuddle and loves to play games, she’s also really obedient and will do things on command for you so she will be easy to work with for further training with her problems with other dogs. She really is a fantastic and loving dog who just needs some love from a new devoted owner.
Lilly is a lovely little collie cross with the biggest smile! She loves you play and chase, she knows all the basic commands and although she seems to never stop moving she’ll listen to you and be very responsive. She’s such a happy dog who is making the most of life and she definitely has the cute-factor!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 65 - Nasher, Jack & Lennox
Lennox is a big boxer cross who’s a big softy. He’s a typical boxer with a happy, friendly nature and lots of energy even at his 9 years of age. He’ll love to give you a very enthusiastic paw for a treat! He’s a bit clumsy and on our walk he ended up walking straight into the canal when he wasn’t looking where he was going but he wasn’t bothered about getting a wet bottom.
Nasher was his usual happy, bouncy self, absolutely loving playing fetch in the snow and digging around when he lost his toy. He’s been at the centre way too long now and needs a new loving home, he’s such a smashing dog so we can’t work out why everyone just looks past him.
Jack is still reserved and awaiting his new owners to come and pick him up.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 64 - Jack & Shelby
Jack is a fox terrier with a big character, he loves playing fetch and lets you know he’s enjoying himself with his “throw it again” woofs! He is a lovely boy and no surprises that he’s already reserved to go to a new home so hopefully we’ll never have to see him back at the centre again.
Shelby was her mischievous little self, giving us a run for our money as usual! She’s such a fun little dog with so much love to give, you’d never have a dull moment with this dog but when she’s too much a little tummy rub sends her straight on her back and she won’t move until you stop!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 63 - Tigger
Tigger is a lovely, friendly staffy who absolutely loves people. She loves a cuddle and a kiss and most staffies do and loves to play with a stick! She’s very obedient and will sit and wait when you ask her too, she’s very responsive to her name as well.
She doesn’t seem to like other dogs and gets very worried and wound up when she see’s them but she makes up for it with her massive love for people.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 62 - Buster, Dylan & Maddie
This week we walked three wonderful staffies all with completely different personalities!
Buster is a little sweetheart who loves a cuddle more than anything, he came in very skinny so he’s having lots of treats to fatten him up but he never stops moving long enough to give him one!
Dylan a.k.a. Doza is a really laid back staffy who has been well trained and gets on with other dogs and cats well.
Maddie is a typical staffy with lots of energy who always wants to play and wind you up a little but she has a heart of gold and would make a loving and fun companion.
People should give staffies a chance, look how lovely these three are!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 61- Shelby
Shelby is the sweetest little girl you could ever meet! You wouldn’t guess it from her size but she’s 2 years old, she is a very small staffy but makes up for it with her huge heart and soul. She is extremely friendly and loves everyone, she absolutely loves a kiss and a cuddle and will make a very loyal and trusting companion.
She was left alone and uncared for, for a long time so may not like being left alone for long periods of time again. She doesn’t know any commands yet but she will be so willing to please and learn with you and will always come back to you for a cuddle!
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 60 - Gyp
Gyp is an absolutely fabulous boy. He is extremely well behaved and walks with you beautifully, he is nice and relaxed out on a walk but does like to let loose and have a good chase like he;s bred to do when he’s allowed. He’s very gentle and loving with people and other dogs and like to say hello to everyone.Gyp is an absolutely fabulous boy. He’s very gentle and loving with people and other dogs and like to say hello to everyone.
He’s got a new home already so it was nice to give him a walk before he disappeared as quickly as he arrived, I’m sure he’ll be an excellent companion for his new owners.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 59 - Kyra & Poncho
Lovely Kyra is unfortunately still at the centre. She is such a wonderful and loving dog who just needs a second chance at happy families. She loves a cuddle, she’s a real cuddle monster and likes to play. She likes most other dogs but can be nervous of new people sometimes. She would be a great dog for an experienced shepherd dog owner.
Poncho is new at the centre but already reserved for his new home! He’s a lovely dog with a typical terrier attitude. He is intelligent and is quite obedient from what we’ve seen, he’ll do very well in his new home.
RSPCA Doggie Diaries; Week 58 - Willow, Ollie, Honey & Lexi
This week we walked the two little’uns Willow and Ollie for their first time in the snow, two lovely little dogs with lots of personality, very energetic, very friendly and fun! Both of which have already gone to their new homes!
We also walked Honey, she was very well behaved as usual, she absolutely loved the snow and liked to try and catch big snowballs! She’s always a pleasure to walk.
Lexi is a young lass with loads of love to give. She can be a bit of a little monkey at times but she means no harm she’s just a big puppy who needs some training, she loves to play and loves a cuddle! She was loving having a good run around in the snow!
